Fran received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Spalding University and a Masters in Special Education from the University of Louisville. She retired from JCPS after working as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. Fran received a WHAS Excel Award in Education. She has also been honored with a Caritas Award from Spalding, Roncalli Award for excellence in catechesis from Archdiocese of Louisville and Summit Award – Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Fran joined the Council in 2009 at the invitation of Carl Wolford who knew her interest in serving women in crisis pregnancy, persons with disabilities and the poor and marginalized. Fran works with a group of volunteers to provide cooking and sewing sessions for the women in the Maternity and Transition Home.
